<p style="text-align: justify">Applications are invited for
appointment as <strong>Tenure-Track Professor/Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in Computational Neuroscience in
the Department of Psychology</strong>,<b> The University of
Hong Kong,</b> to commence on July 1, 2021 or as soon as
possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the
possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before
the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Rank
will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Exceptionally outstanding candidates at the Professor/Associate
Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure
terms.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The Department of Psychology was
founded in 1968 and was the first department of psychology in
Hong Kong. The Department is represented by 20 faculty members
with different areas of expertise, including clinical
psychology/neuropsychology, cognitive psychology/neuroscience,
educational and developmental psychology, as well as
social/health psychology. Our faculty members engage in a broad
range of research across the discipline, from basic human
neuroscience to educational policy, as these different areas of
research inform and complement each other. This unique research
environment enables the integration of different disciplinary
areas into cohesive and empirically sound research programmes
that are translated into measurable societal impact. Further

<p style="text-align: justify">Applicants should possess a Ph.D.
degree in computational neuroscience or related fields, and a
strong record of research. For appointment at Associate
Professor or Professor, candidates should also demonstrate a
proven track record of external grants and leadership.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The appointee should have interests
in computational modelling of neuroscientific and psychological
functioning in order to capitalise on current research trends in
brain science. The appointee is expected to maintain an active
research programme, and be responsible for teaching courses and
supervising students at both graduate and undergraduate levels,
as well as contributing to the administration of academic
programmes.<br>

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and
experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and
medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not
exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a
contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a
retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.</p>
