<p class="MsoNormal">Our multi-disciplinary team at Newcastle University is recruiting a computer scientist with a strong background in AI/Machine Learning to apply ML techniques to analyse

optical coherence tomography (OCT) medical images of the retina. The project’s aim is to detect early markers of
</span>neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s from OCT images. The project team includes computer scientists, visual neuroscientists, ophthalmologists and neurologists based at Newcastle University and the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals
NHS Trust. The project is funded by an AI Award from the NIHR.<o:p></o:p></p>
