<div class=""><font face="Arial" class="">Our group is looking for a motivated doctoral student to study subjective aspects of visual perception using a combination of visual illusions and functional/structural MRI.</font></div>
<p class=""><font face="Arial" class="">The project is funded by BioTechMed-Graz (<a href="https://biotechmedgraz.at/en/" style="color: rgb(149, 79, 114);" class="">https://biotechmedgraz.at/en/</a> ) and is focused on studying visual perception in healthy
individuals and in patients experiencing hallucinations. The clinically relevant work will be done in close collaboration with the Neurology and Ophthalmology clinics of the Styrian State Hospital. The project provides an opportunity to learn advanced (f)MRI
techniques, including quantitative morphometry, surface-based analysis, pRF mapping, high-resolution structural and functional MRI, while answering exciting scientific questions.</font></p>
<p class=""><font face="Arial" class="">We are looking for candidates with strong background in neuroscience, biology, psychology, medicine and other related fields. Programming experience (e.g. using MATLAB or Python) and experience with MRI/fMRI is a plus. <o:p class=""></o:p></font></p>
<p class=""><font face="Arial" class="">Graz is an international city with three major universities (UniGraz, MedUni, TU) and several neuroscience hotspots. You will have access to all major human neuroscience tools (EEG, TMS, tDCS), including the latest model
of a research-dedicated 3T MRI scanner. Through the affiliation with BioTechMed-Graz, you will have access to graduate courses, regular networking opportunities and scientific retreats.<o:p class=""></o:p></font></p>
