The position is funded by a research grant from NIH aiming at understanding the oculomotor limitations on vision in the presence of central vision loss.</div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br class=""></div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Currently, we are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in at least two of the following areas to join the lab: eye movements, visual psychophysics, retinal imaging, image processing and computational modeling. Expertise in other areas will also be considered, as long as they match the general research directions of the lab. The successful applicant should have, or will have his/her PhD in Vision Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, Bio-engineering, Optical engineering or a closely related discipline. Proficiency in programming in MATLAB or Python is a must. The position is ideal for an outstanding basic scientist who would like to apply his/her skills to patient work.</div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br class=""></div><div class="" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Salary will follow the standard UC Berkeley Postdoc scale (higher than the NIH Postdoc scale).
