<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Amblyopia is a neurodevelopmental disorder of vision that is often considered to be untreatable in adulthood due to a lack of visual cortex neuroplasticity in the mature brain. Recent
evidence suggests that providing a clear image to the retina of the amblyopic eye using spectacles or contact lenses can cause a gradual improvement in monocular and binocular vision in adult patients. The aim of this study is to test this potential treatment
approach for adults with amblyopia within a randomized clinical trial design. Functional and structural MRI will be used to explore the neural mechanisms that underpin the improvements in vision.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
