program that will then transition automatically into a tenure-track faculty position. This program is part of the “</span><span style="color:black;letter-spacing:.4pt;background:white">Race, Inclusion and Social Equity (RAISE)” initiative of the Ohio State
University, and it is designed to recruit scholars who will seek to improve health equity through their research, scholarship, and community engagement.</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

independent research and scholarship careers. They will also participate in activities within the College of Optometry and career development programs in the University, and they will have a designated faculty mentor. After two years, Provost Fellows will

field of study, who are seeking an assistant professor position, and who will be eligible for tenure at the end of the probationary period. A Doctor of Optometry degree is desirable but not required. This is a 12-month position, fully-funded by the University.
