The School of Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for one, full-time, tenure track, 9-month, Assistant Professor position beginning August 2023. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse experimental psychology
doctoral program in the School of Psychology. The Brain & Behavior (Experimental) program is one of four doctoral programs in the School of Psychology. The Experimental doctoral program offers generalist training in research-based approaches to Psychology
in several different research areas. The research area of specialization for this position is open, though we are especially interested in candidates whose training backgrounds complement or enhance our current concentrations, particularly in the areas of
Cognitive Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, and Developmental Psychology including Adult Development and Aging. The Experimental Psychology doctoral program emphasizes research mentorship, diversity, and undergraduate and graduate teaching. Our faculty
have established records of scholarship in the areas of memory, aging and cognition, sensation and perception, evolutionary psychology, health psychology, and social cognition. We aim to recruit applicants who will produce impactful research with the potential
