<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US">The Department of Experimental Psychology, University College London, wishes to appoint a Lecturer or Associate Professor. The successful applicant will join a dynamic and collaborative
 department that is focused on advancing understanding of the psychological and biological bases of behaviour, and using that knowledge to address pressing societal needs. The main duties will be to lead an independent research programme, and to contribute
 to undergraduate and postgraduate education in psychology. The Department welcomes applications from those with expertise in any substantive field of experimental psychology, including research focused on humans or other animals, at adult or developmental
 stages. Within this wide range, we particularly encourage applications from candidates whose expertise can bridge domains, by for example combining theory with comparative or computational approaches, or real-world data with experimentation, among others.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Appointment at Lecturer (Grade 8) or Associate Professor (Grade 9) level will be determined by depth of experience and track record. For Associate Professor, the appointee would
 be expected to demonstrate sustained excellence in all aspects of academic life. Grade 8 currently begins at an annual salary of £47,414 (Including London Allowance); Grade 9 currently begins at an annual salary of £60,592 (Including London Allowance). We
 particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in UCL’s workforce. These include people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds; disabled people; LGBTQI+ people; and, particularly for Grade 9, women. The
