<b>ideal candidate for this post will have a solid background in computer science, with experience of both deep learning and computer graphics, with a particular focus on rendering.</b> In fact, the selected candidate will be engaged with physically based simulation
 of spectral reflections and machine learning. They will also drive perceptual evaluation experiments. These tasks do not only require technical competence, but also problem solving and research skills, therefore a candidate with research experience is preferred.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 and support from the York Vision, Graphics and Learning (VGL) Group, a world-leading research group comprising 5 academics, 2 postdocs, around 22 PhD students. Bournemouth University has a strong Psychology Department, which counts over 50 staff members and
 is constantly growing. Neuroscience is represented strongly at Bournemouth University and is becoming one of the major directions of BU research.

<span style="font-size:9.5pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">These two centres are ideal for a collaboration project on Computational Neuroscience. The University of York has a purpose-built darkroom for physical
 measures, with state-of-the-art equipment for spectral measures. Bournemouth University offers experimental cubicles used for human research covering everything from eye-tracking to brain stimulation, including colour calibrated displays suitable perceptual
 experiments on colour vision. High performance computers for machine learning will be available at both Universities.
