<p class="MsoNormal">We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral position in the Centre for Vision Research, York University, under the supervision of Laurie Wilcox, Erez Freud and Jody Culham (Western University). This is a two-year position with possibility
of an extension with a competitive salary ideally starting in January 2024. We will consider applicants until October 1<sup>st</sup>, 2023.

<p class="MsoNormal">We are looking for a keen collaborator to join our interdisciplinary research team funded by a recent CIHR grant. The project uses state-of-the-art neuroimaging approach alongside a unique set of 3D stimuli to study how information about
depth and distance modulates neural activation in high-level cortex. We will examine how adding binocular 3D information affects brain activation for different categories of stimuli, including faces, scenes, objects, bodies, and tools. We will also examine
how 3D information about the distance, location, and orientation of these stimuli affects neural representations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on topics related to 3D vision, high-level vision and the neural basis of perception.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Requirements<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroimaging techniques and human psychophysics along with basic technical skills needed to develop and conduct experiments. A background in coding (Python, MATLAB) will
be an asset. Applications will only be considered from individuals who have completed their dissertation and will have defended their PhD prior to taking up the position. Funding is contingent on successful application for a VISTA postdoctoral fellowship to
be submitted in collaboration with Freud and Wilcox by Oct 13, 2023 (<a href="http://vista.info.yorku.ca/">http://vista.info.yorku.ca/</a>).
