project entitled: <b>Movement Perception in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)</b>.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#4D4D4D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">This project will test hypotheses regarding changes in visual-vestibular processing supporting perception of movement (both of the self
and other parts of the environment) in Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), a subtype of FND. Common PPPD symptoms include dizziness and/or a feeling that the environment is unstable.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#4D4D4D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">You will have (or be about to acquire) a relevant PhD together with skills in psychophysics and a strong interest in human perception
and action in both health and disorder. The project also involves use of virtual reality (VR) and motion tracking technologies at the PI’s VR2 facility (<a href="https://sites.manchester.ac.uk/VR2/"><span lang="DE">https://sites.manchester.ac.uk/VR2/</span></a>),
receiving dedicated support from technicians in these areas. Experience with either/both of these would be advantageous (but not essential).
