<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#222222">The research in our laboratory aims to uncover how processing in the brain enables flexible use of visual information to guide naturalistic behavior. Current projects
 in the lab examine the dependence of visual processing on spontaneous movements and behavioral state, neural processing for peripheral vision, adult neural plasticity in the visual system, and neural circuits of decision-making. These topics are addressed
 in several mammalian species. The lab has active collaborations with machine learning researchers, computational, systems and cellular neuroscientists both at NIH and other leading institutions (e.g. UC Berkeley, University of Maryland). The lab has expertise
 in behavioral, computational, pharmacological, optogenetic, functional imaging (functional ultrasound), motion capture, and large-scale electrophysiological approaches.
