<p>The Bio-inspired Computer Vision research group (Prof. Dr.
Gunther Heidemann) of the institute of Cognitive Science in the
School of Human Sciences is seeking to appoint a

<h3><strong>Research Assistant (m/f/d)<br>
(Salary level E 13 TV-L, 75 %)</strong></h3>
<p>to commence work as soon as possible for an initial period of 3
years.</p>
<p>The Bio-inspired Computer Vision Group conducts research mainly
in the fields of:</p>
<ul>
<li>Visual learning for still images and video data</li>
<li>Deep Learning algorithms for Computer Vision</li>
<li>Cognitively motivated vision architectures</li>
<li>Applications in biomedical imaging</li>
<li>3D-Vision</li>
<li>Auditory Display/Sonification of visual data</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your Duties:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>The successful candidate will be involved in several research
projects and may supervise <abbr title="Bachelor of Science">B.Sc.</abbr>
and <abbr title="Master of Science">M.Sc.</abbr> projects</li>
<li>The position involves teaching Cognitive Science courses at <abbr
title="Bachelor of Science">B.Sc.</abbr> and <abbr
title="Master of Science">M.Sc.</abbr> level (3 hours/week)</li>
<li>The position allows for further scientific qualification
(Ph.D., alternatively the German doctorate degree, or
habilitation)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>An excellent academic degree (Master/Diploma) and knowledge in
at least one of the fields listed above</li>
<li>Good programming skills</li>
<li>A very good command of the English language</li>
</ul>
