She was widely respected for her meticulous research on visual function and eye movements in individuals with central vision loss, as well as for her unwavering commitment to visual rehabilitation for those with visual impairments.<o:p></o:p></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;"><font size="3"> <o:p></o:p></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; line-height: normal;"><font size="3">Lumi was not only an exceptional scientist, but also a deeply kind and thoughtful friend. Her radiant smile and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
