The School of Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites applications for two full-time, 9-month, Assistant Teaching Professor positions beginning August 2026. This exciting opportunity is available to doctoral level graduates with exceptional
teaching abilities and a desire to support the undergraduate and graduate programs at Southern Miss. Teaching track faculty are permanent faculty, and eligible for promotion. We are especially interested in colleagues who support the mission of the University
and support student success initiatives designed to promote retention of first-generation college students. <br>

These positions will primarily serve the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Hattiesburg campus. The area of specialization is open, however, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in neuroscience to help cover undergraduate and
graduate courses in behavioral neuroscience. Visa support for international applicants is not available. <br>

The School of Psychology has approximately 600 undergraduate majors across two campuses and 125 graduate students completing programs in one of three APA-accredited doctoral programs (Counseling, Clinical, & School), a doctoral program in Experimental Psychology
