<p class="gmail-p1">A postdoctoral position is available in the Perception, Action & Cognition (PAC) Laboratory, directed by Dr. Joo-Hyun Song in the Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.</p>
<p class="gmail-p1">Research in the PAC Lab focuses on integrating cognitive and sensorimotor systems, with particular emphasis on sensorimotor learning, action preparation, and the cognitive processes that shape adaptive behavior. The laboratory uses rigorous psychophysics, behavioral measures of eye and arm movements, pupillometry, EEG, computational modeling, and advanced quantitative methods. Additional information about the lab is available at <a href="http://research.clps.brown.edu/songlab">http://research.clps.brown.edu/songlab</a>.</p>
<p class="gmail-p1">We seek a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, or a related field. The successful candidate will contribute to an NSF-funded project examining sensorimotor learning and its interaction with higher-order cognitive processes.</p>
<p class="gmail-p1">Candidates should have a strong publication record and substantial experience in experimental research on sensorimotor learning, visuomotor processes, or related areas. Strong programming skills are essential, particularly in MATLAB and R. Expertise in computational modeling, quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and time-series analysis is highly desirable. Experience with pupillometry is especially valued, including the analysis and modeling of pupil-linked measures of cognitive and sensorimotor processes. Experience with reaching movements, eye tracking, or EEG would also be an advantage. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.</p>
