One postdoctoral position is available to work at the Laboratoire VAC (Vision Action Cognition) (http://recherche.parisdescartes.fr/VAC) with Celine PAEYE.

Starting date: Between September and December 2019.

Located in Boulogne-Billancourt, the laboratory is led by Pr. Karine Dore-Mazars and belongs to the Universite de Paris (France).

The postdoc will join a team of young researchers (including Alma Guilbert & Louisa Lavergne). He/she will collaborate in designing and running experiments linked to the ANR-JC project “AdRenf” on saccadic adaptation induced either by conventional double-step paradigms or by reinforcement learning (see references below). A large part of this project is also dedicated to studying (space and/or time) perception and will include psychophysical experiments. This will offer the successful candidate the unique opportunity to conduct studies that bridge the gap between vision science and the theory of reinforcement learning.

Training in vision research and eye movement recording is important, as is programming proficiency (We program in Matlab). A good level of English is essential and French desirable.

The initial appointment is initially for 12 months, renewable once (for 6 or 12 months according to French standards of salary levels). Applications should be sent preferably before June 15th, 2019, but later applications will be considered until the position is filled.

Initial inquiries and/or applications should be sent by email to Celine Paeye (celine.paeye at parisdescartes.fr<http://parisdescartes.fr> ) and should include a CV, a brief statement of research interests, the expected date of availability and the names of 2 people who could write a letter of reference.
