ABOUT
For 30 years, the Electronic Imaging Symposium has been serving those in the broad community-from academia and industry-who work on imaging science and digital technologies. The scope of the Symposium includes the entire imaging science ecosystem, from capture (sensors, cameras) through image processing (image quality, color, and appearance) to how humans and machines see and interpret traditional and multi-dimensional images and videos. 

SUBMISSION FORMATS 
	 
*	Journal-first~ Submission Deadline: 15 July 2019
Your EI paper will appear in the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) or Journal of Perceptual Imaging (JPI) and be cited as a journal manuscript. Papers submitted using the Journal-first option must be in publication-ready condition to conform to the EI conference schedule. Accepted JIST- or JPI-first submissions are presented as oral papers and published as reprints in the selected EI Conference Proceedings.

Submission Deadline: 15 July 2019  

*	Proceedings/Presentation-only~ Submission Deadline: 30 September 2019
(Submissions open 1 May 2019)

Proceedings Paper: Accepted abstracts are assigned as oral or interactive (poster) papers and are published in the selected EI Conference Proceedings. Refer to individual EI conference CFPs for topics and submission requirements.

Presentation-only: Accepted abstracts are assigned as oral or interactive (poster) presentations. Presentation-only submissions are typically by invitation or permission of the conference and are suitable for industry contributors restricted from submitting proceedings papers. Refer to the EI2020 abstract submissions site for a list of conferences accepting presentation-only submissions.
