The Envision Research Institute (ERI) is excited to announce the opportunity to apply for a Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder related to Vision Loss Postdoctoral Fellowship!

ERI is a uniquely attractive place to receive postdoctoral training in vision and blind rehabilitation research as training includes an immersion in Envision's many resources in Wichita, Kansas and Dallas, Texas; including a comprehensive vision rehabilitation clinic, workforce innovation center, early childhood development center, education outreach programs and employment for the blind and visually impaired (BVI).

A Fellow must have received, at the start of their Fellowship, a PhD, PsyD, MD, OD, OTD, JD or equivalent doctoral degree at an accredited institution. BVI research is multi- and interdisciplinary, thus the field of the doctoral degree is less important than the proposed training and research to be carried out during the fellowship. Awards are expected to be 2 years in duration. Training and research is conducted at ERI, however the fellow may travel to a mentor's institution for up to 3 months in the first year to receive additional training not available at ERI.

More information about our Fellowship Program and this fellowship opportunity including instructions for filing an application can be found at http://research.envisionus.com/Fellowship-Program.

Applications should be submitted to research at envisionus.com no later than 12:00pm CT on Friday, September 25, 2018.

Awards are expected to be announced in October 2020, with the Fellowship expected to commence by January 2021 or sooner.

Please email any fellowship questions to Ronald Schuchard, Executive Director ERI (at research at envisionus.com), including difficulties meeting the application deadline.
