     * The National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Office of Data Science Strategy recently announced a Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) for Administrative Supplements for Workforce Development at the Interface of Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Biomedical Sciences (NOT-OD-21-079<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-079.html>). The purpose is to support the development and implementation of curricular or training activities at the interface of information science, AI/ML, and biomedical sciences to develop the competencies and skills needed to make biomedical data FAIR<https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4792175/> (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) and AI/ML-ready. Applications to this opportunity are due May 14, 2021.

  * Additional Administrative Supplements Available to Support Enhancement of Software Tools for Open Science

     * The National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) recently announced the continuing availability of administrative supplements to active grants that focus on biomedical software development or have a significant software development component (NOT-OD-21-091<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-091.html>). These supplements will invest in research software tools with recognized value in a scientific community to enhance their impact by leveraging best practices in software development and advances in cloud computing.
