Dear Visionlist,
Please could you post the following postdoctoral position.
Thanks and best wishes, Peter

*Postdoctoral Position: Translational Vision Lab, Northeastern University,*

*Boston MA*

*We are seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral research
fellow to join our team at Northeastern University in Boston MA. Our lab
employs cross-disciplinary approaches to study basic and clinical vision
science.*

*Current models of visual perception have been developed to understand
behavior under a limited set of idealized laboratory conditions in healthy
observers. However, we interact with a dynamic and cluttered environment
and our visual function changes during development and aging. Our
research **aims
to extend models of sensory processing from laboratory settings to real
world conditions in observers across the lifespan. The successful candidate
will have the opportunity to learn a range of behavioral, oculomotor and
retinal imaging methodologies for application in healthy and
visually-impaired populations.*

*Northeastern University is located in the heart of Boston with a vibrant
and collaborative community of faculty, postdoctoral, graduate and
undergraduate researchers.*

*Candidates should have a PhD in a behavioral science with experience in
human vision research, eye movement data, strong computational skills and
programming experience (MATLAB, Python). Salary will follow the NIH
payscale and the start date is flexible, but preferably summer or fall 2021*

*Please send a brief statement of interest, CV, and names of at least 2
references to Peter Bex via email to p.bex at neu.edu.
