DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM
https://ismar21.org/call-for-doctoral-consortium/

The ISMAR 2021 Doctoral Consortium (DC) provides a great opportunity for doctoral students to present and receive feedback about their research in an interdisciplinary workshop, under the guidance of a panel of mentors selected from experienced people in the field. We invite students who feel they would benefit from this kind of feedback on their research to use this unique opportunity to share their work with students in a similar situation as well as senior researchers in the field.

The consortium will comprise presentations by students, whose applications have been selected by the Doctoral Consortium chairs and other reviewers. The strongest candidates will be those who have a clear topic and research approach, and have made some progress, but who are not so far along in their research that they can no longer make changes. The final version of accepted DC proposals can be included in the conference proceedings published in the IEEE digital library on request.

Doctoral Consortium Dates:
- July 2nd, 2021: Doctoral Consortium submission deadline
- August 2nd, 2021: Doctoral Consortium notifications
- August 16th, 2021: Doctoral Consortium camera-ready versions due
- October 4th, 2021: Doctoral Consortium Consortium meeting

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
https://ismar21.org/call-for-student-volunteers/

Student volunteers are a critical component of any successful conference. As such, ISMAR is calling for friendly and responsive volunteers to help us for the 2021 conference. This year, we are considering the possibility of holding the first ever ISMAR mixed conference with participants not only attending the conference on-site, but also remotely using a virtual platform.

Volunteers help by managing the registration desk, helping set up demo sessions, providing on-site support to the organizing committee, assisting speakers during presentations, supporting as virtual event moderators, providing session support to virtual attendees, and more.

Student Volunteer Dates:
- August 15, 2021: Student volunteer submission deadline
- September 5, 2021: Student volunteer notifications

For the first time, ISMAR is offering a conference-sponsored mentorship program to assist students in finding mentors, and to aid mentors in finding interested students.

To apply to be a mentee, please fill out the Mentee application form.
To apply to be a mentor, please fill out the Mentor application form.
