FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS - III LAWCN (https://www.lawcn.com.br/) - Deadline for
submission: September 27, 2021

The third edition of the Latin American Workshop on Computational
Neuroscience (LAWCN) will be an event in hybrid mode. It will be held in
person in the city of São Luis de Maranhão (Brazil) and online from December
8 to 10, 2021. The event counts with financial support from the International
Brain Research Organization (IBRO). Accepted papers will appear in the
Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) proceedings series
- Springer Nature (ISSN 1865-0929).

Overview

The human brain is considered the most complex object in the known universe
and the least understood organ in the human body. Neuroscientists with
different backgrounds (medicine, psychology, electrical engineering,
biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics, etc.) come together with the goal of understanding the
brain.
The idea of a series of events to support new findings on the brain and its
dissemination among neuroscientists in the field of Computational
Neuroscience and related issues for the Latin American community began in
2012 with a group of researchers from the Federal University of Rio Grande do
Sul. (UFRGS) - Brazil. Subsequently, this initial event led to the creation
of the Latin American Computational Neuroscience Workshop (LAWCN) in 2017.

In keeping with the tradition of the previous edition of this meeting, the
III LAWCN has four main themes:
A- Computational Neuroscience
B- Neuroscience
C- Neuroengineering
D- Artificial intelligence and related topics.

See the full list on https://www.lawcn.com.br/event/submissions.html

The Workshop will consist mainly of the following activities
• A presentation of up to 8 key researchers of international and national
renown.
• A round table to widely discuss gender diversity in Neuroscience.
• Oral presentations of accepted papers by their authors.
• Poster session.
