Post-doc and PhD Positions in Systems Neuroscience

Post-doctoral and PhD positions are available in the Physiology of Active Vision laboratory at the Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience, Tuebingen, Germany. Research in the lab explores the mechanisms of eye movements and visual perception/cognition through neurophysiological experiments with non-human primates, experiments with humans, and computational modeling. The Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN) (http://www.cin.uni-tuebingen.de <http://www.cin.uni-tuebingen.de/>) is an interdisciplinary excellence cluster funded by the German government’s Excellence Initiative program. The CIN strives to deepen our understanding of how the brain generates function and how brain diseases impair functions. Its scientific program is guided by the conviction that progress in the understanding of brain function can be achieved with an integrative approach spanning multiple levels of organization and pooling the knowledge of researchers from many different fields.


Tuebingen is a vibrant university city in the south of Germany. Besides the CIN, Tuebingen is also home to the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research, the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience, and several institutes of the Max Planck Society, among others. This allows for a tremendous exposure to the latest advances in neuroscience, vision/robotics, human-computer interaction, brain-computer interfaces, etc. There are also opportunities for collaborative projects across labs/institutes.
