*Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology*



The Psychology Department at North Dakota State University is seeking
candidates for an open tenure-track position (Assistant Professor) in
Cognitive Psychology, with an emphasis on Human Learning in Applied
Contexts. We are especially interested in candidates whose research
interests include the application of cognitive science methodology to
real-world environments for learning and training in human participants.
Successful candidates will have a record of research productivity, and
experience pursuing and/or obtaining external funding consistent with their
career stage. Successful candidates will also be able to contribute to
teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in topics including advanced
statistical methods, upper-division courses for majors, and specialized
seminars relevant to the candidate’s field of expertise. Finally, the
successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the college-level
research theme focused on STEM Education/Discipline-Based Education
Research either through direct research efforts or collaborative
interactions with current faculty actively pursuing related lines of
research. Candidates must have a PhD at the time of appointment in
Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline. We anticipate
that the appointment will begin in August 2018.
