[visionlist] JOBS: Doctoral student and post-doc positions in 3D Computer Vision, University of Oulu

Applications are invited for two full-time doctoral student positions 
and a post-doc position for a maximum of four years, starting at the 
latest on September 1, 2018 in the Center for Machine Vision and Signal 
Analysis <http://www.oulu.fi/cmvs/> (CMVS) research unit, University of 
Oulu, Finland.

The research focuses on developing new 3D computer vision methods and 
algorithms to applications of mixed reality where real and virtual world 
are merged. Relevant research problems include but are not limited to 
pose estimation, multi-view stereo, structure-from-motion, simultaneous 
localization and mapping, and 3D object recognition.

The doctoral student must possess a Master’s degree in computer science, 
electrical engineering or related fields with previous experience on 
computer vision or machine learning. Strong mathematical and programming 
skills with C/C++/Matlab/Python are respected. Degree must have been 
completed with good grades by August 31, 2018 (or latest before the job 
contract starts).

The post-doc must possess a doctoral degree in computer science, 
electrical engineering or related fields. Publications in top-tier 
international conferences and journals in computer vision, augmented 
reality or machine learning are expected as well as good mathematical 
and programming skills.
