*Postdoctoral position in Binocular Vision and Visual Optics at 
University of Rochester*

Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position in the 
lab of Geunyoung Yoon at the University of Rochester 
(http://www.cvs.rochester.edu/yoonlab/).The position is funded by a NIH 
R01 research grant and research topics involve investigating neural and 
optical factors affecting binocular vision.The research will use a 
state-of-art binocular adaptive optics vision simulator along with 
visual psychophysics, eye movement measurements, perceptual learning and 
computational modeling to study neural mechanisms underlying log-term 
neural adaptation to the habitual ocular optics and its impact on 
various aspects of binocular vision.

The successful candidate has completed, or will have his/her PhD in a 
discipline that includes a focus in vision science and visual 
psychophysics.Programming experience is required, MATLAB and 
Psychophysics Toolbox preferred. Experience and willingness to explore 
and participate in multidisciplinary research is desirable. He or she 
will have an opportunity to collaborate with the investigator team that 
includes Drs. Duje Tadin (U of Rochester), Randolph Blake (Vanderbilt U) 
and Martin Banks (UC Berkeley) as well as the lab members studying a 
variety of research topics (http://www.cvs.rochester.edu/yoonlab/research/).

Salary will be determined based on the standard NIH Postdoctoral Stipend 
Levels. The starting date for the position is flexible, with preference 
for a start date in Spring of 2018.
