The journal Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220, IF 2.677) is currently running a
Special Issue entitled "Visual Sensors". (

Prof. Dr. Oscar Reinoso and  Dr. Luis Payá (Miguel Hernández University,
Spain) are serving as Guest Editors for this issue.



This Special Issue invites contributions in the following topics (but is
not limited to them):

·        Image analysis.

·        Visual pattern recognition.

·        Object recognition by visual sensors.

·        Movement estimation or registration from images.

·        Visual sensors in robotics.

·        Visual sensors in industrial applications.

·        Computer vision for quality evaluation.

·        Visual sensors in agriculture.

·        Computer vision in autonomous driving.

·        Environment modeling and reconstruction from images.

·        Visual Localization.

·        Visual SLAM.

The submission deadline is 31 January 2019. You may send your manuscript
now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send
a short abstract or tentative title to the Editorial Office in advance to
fancy.chai at mdpi.com or sensors at mdpi.com.



Sensors is covered by leading indexing services, including the Science
Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Chemical
Abstracts, INSPEC, and CAB Abstracts. The latest Impact Factor for the year
2016 is 2.677, and the five-year Impact Factor is 2.964.



Sensors is fully open access. Open access (unlimited and free access by
readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as
indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and
their institutes. Article Processing Charges of CHF 1800 (APC) apply to
accepted papers. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously
received a discount code or if your institute is participating in the MDPI
