Welcome to submit your problems to the Open Engineering Symposium 2018: Computer Vision!

The Open Engineering Symposium is an opportunity to work on inspiring engineering problems during one intensive day together with students, experts and enthusiasts. The Theme for the Open Engineering Symposium 2018 will be Computer Vision and Image Analysis and we are now seeking Computer Vision tasks for our participants to solve. Do you have an idea for how image analysis could contribute to society? Have you considered using cameras to improve your operation, but have not had the time or resources to evaluate it? We accept images from any background and with any content. The best ideas will be selected for the symposium and the submitter of the selected ideas will at the end of the symposium receive a report with the preliminary analytical result, the best solutions during the symposium, suggestions for future improvement and tips for where to look for funding to further develop your idea. If you only have an idea, but are not sure how it will work - write a few lines to us and if your idea is selected we will help you define the problem and capture some test images. Submitted problem formulations are evaluated according to the following criteria:

1. The potential of the Image Analysis implementation to have a possitive impact on society.
2. The solvability of the problem.
3. The clarity and structure of the submission.

Participation is free!
