POST-DOC ON TACTILE PERCEPTION AND SENSORIMOTOR CONTROL AT GIESSEN UNIVERSITY

Starting date: ideally between October and December 2018

One postdoctoral position is available in the Perception & Action lab of Katja Fiehler at the Psychology Department of Giessen University, Germany. The lab offers excellent facilities for studying the behavioral and neural mechanisms of tactile perception and sensorimotor control.

The third-party funded project is part of a larger research group on perception and action with excellent links to scientists within Europe and worldwide (http://www.sfb-perception.de). The group offers a stimulating, multi-national and multi-disciplinary research environment for young scientists (http://www.allpsych.uni-giessen.de). Giessen is a small university town, located just 60 km north of Frankfurt, right at the center of Germany.

The positions will be filled with a person interested in the neural correlates of predictive processes during goal-directed movements. Recent work from my lab on these topics can be found here: https://www.uni-giessen.de/faculties/f06/psy/departments-1/generalpsychology/wh/publications

The PostDoc position is funded till the end of 2021.

Methods include fMRI and psychophysical experiments; experience with EEG would be advantageous.

Applications should be sent by email to Katja Fiehler (katja.fiehler at psychol.uni-giessen.de<mailto:katja.fiehler at psychol.uni-giessen.de>) before August 2018. Informal inquiries are highly encouraged.

Full applications should include a CV, a statement of research interests, and a letter of reference.
