Postdoctoral position – Perceptual distortions in Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality

York University, Toronto, Canada

A well-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Centre for Vision Research, York University, under the supervision of Laurie Wilcox and Robert Allison.  This is a two-year position, with a start date of April 2019 (give or take a month).  The application deadline is March 1st, 2019.

 We are looking for a keen collaborator to join our interdisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on topics such as cue integration, visual, vestibular and auditory integration, and the perception of space and navigation in VR/AR.

Requirements. Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong background in both stereoscopic displays and human psychophysics. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in programming and 3D rendering software. Applications will only be considered from individuals who will have defended their PhD prior to April 1st, 2019.
