[visionlist] Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Machine Learning for Healthcare in Bern, Switzerland

the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research of the University 
of Bern has opened
a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in machine learning/artificial 
intelligence. The position is
funded for a period of 1 year and can be prolonged up to 2 years. Salary 
will be according to
Swiss University regulations. University of Bern is an equal opportunity

The researcher will be part of the Diabetes Technology group and will 
work with a team of
engineers, computer scientists, and healthcare professionals on the 
introduction, use and
evaluation of machine learning algorithms for healthcare applications 
based mainly on the
analysis of images. The output will be disseminated to high-impact 
international journals and
conferences.

The candidates need to have strong background and experience in computer 
vision and machine
learning and show outstanding commitment to multidisciplinary research. 
The candidates must
have already obtained a doctorate (PhD) in computer vision and machine 
learning from a
recognised university and have a strong publication record with at least 
one publication at IEEE
TMI, IEEE MM, IEEE JBHI, MICCAI, ECCV, CVPR, ICML or equivalent 
conferences and
journals. Proficient oral and written English skills are expected.

objectives (1-2 pages), a detailed
curriculum vitae with publications list, the transcripts of all obtained 
degrees (in English), the
names and contact details of two referees and two publications with the 
applicant as the main
