Dear colleagues,

Vingroup Big Data Institute (VinBigdata) is looking for a Research
Scientist to join our Medical Imaging Department. This position aims to
build large-scale and high-precision medical imaging solutions to
facilitate effective clinical workflows. We are passionate about applying
Computer Vision, Machine/Deep Learning models to build computed-aided
detection (CADe) and computer aided diagnosis (CADx) systems from very
large-scale clinical datasets of multiple imaging modalities (X-ray, CT,
MRI, etc). After building prototypes that demonstrate the promise of your
work, you will collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate
your work into products as well as publish the work in top-tier journals
and conferences.

Candidate profile

   - A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
   field with 5+ years of relevant work experience in Medical Imaging,
   Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning
   - Publication records on top Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep
   Learning journals/conference and/or significant product development.
   - Excellent prototyping skills in Python; knowledge and development
   experience of common deep learning frameworks and packages (PyTorch,
   TensorFlow, Keras, etc.).
   - Deep experience in application areas such as medical imaging and
   computer vision;
   - Knowledge of medical imaging visualization and PACs is a big plus.

About Vingroup Big Data Institute

Vingroup Big Data Institute (VinBigdata) was established by Vingroup in
August 2018 aiming to conduct research on important areas of big data and
AI. The institute promotes basic research as well as investigating novel
and highly-applicable technologies which can be directly utilized. The
VinBigdata Medical Imaging Department conducts research in collecting,
processing, analyzing, and understanding medical data. We investigate and
leverage data-driven machine learning-based approaches and focus on the
processing and analysis of various medical imaging modalities, such as
X-ray, Mammography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) in order to deliver screening and diagnosis assistance for several
popular and dangerous disease, especially for cancers such as lung, breast,
and liver cancers, etc.
