Don't Forget to Submit your Symposium Proposal
 
VSS is now accepting proposals for symposia for the 2022 annual meeting in St.
Pete Beach, Florida (May 13-18).  
 
VSS Symposia deal with contemporary and cutting-edge topics in vision research.
Symposia can be organized by content area or by method and should focus on
broader conceptual themes than a typical VSS presentation. 
 
Symposia contain 4 or 5 talks lasting 20-30 minutes each, with additional time
for discussion.
 
The symposium organizer must be a 2022 VSS member, but invited speakers need not
be members. 
 
Submitting a symposium proposal and/or speaking in a symposium does not prevent
you from submitting an abstract with different content to VSS. Complete
submission instructions can be found at Symposium Submissions. 
 
Symposia will be selected by the VSS Board of Directors on the basis of
scientific merit, timeliness, innovation, breadth, and novelty. Symposia often
benefit from a diversity of perspectives and institutional affiliations.
Proposals from young investigators are particularly encouraged.
