The position is funded for one year, in the first instance and available to start as soon as the post is filled

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow position (i.e. a postdoc) in UCL Attention and Cognitive Control laboratory at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, supervised by Prof Nilli Lavie, in collaboration with Prof Maria Chait. The research will involve using MEG/EEG combined with behavioural measures of attention, working memory and perception.

The successful applicant should have a PhD in cognitive neuroscience or closely related area. Experience in neuroimaging (preferably using the methods of EEG or MEG) as well as knowledge of a range of relevant research techniques and scientific literature is essential for the post. The applicant should have research skills applicable to this area of research and a proven ability to analyse and write up data. The ability to present complex information effectively to a range of audiences is desirable.

Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at research assistant Grade 6B (salary £32,217 - £34,867 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
