Postgraduate and postdoc positions are available in the Laboratory for
AI-enabled Virtual and Augmented Reality Communications and Networked
Systems at NJIT. Self-motivated students with strong analytical skills and a
BS/MS degree in electrical and computer engineering, or computer science are
encouraged to apply.

The recruited applicants will work on cutting edge research in the areas of
mobile 6DOF VR/AR networked systems and synergies with computer vision,
machine learning and HCI, 5G edge computing and network architectures,
UAV-IoT sensing and networking, optical and millimeter wave mobile wireless
networking, domain-aware fast real-time reinforcement learning (RL) and deep
RL for communication systems and applications, and multi-connectivity
scalable 360-degree video streaming. We also explore novel interdisciplinary
applications to remote sensing, disaster relief, environmental monitoring,
and cyber-physical health care systems and devices.

The PhD positions are fully funded, inclusive of summer support. The postdoc
openings are on a multi-year basis, renewed every year, subject to
performance evaluation.

Skills required for the postdoctoral applicants:
- Strong background in one or multiple of the areas of interest noted above
- Very good publication record in top academic conferences and journals
- Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
- Interest in mentoring graduate students
- Very good organization and communication skills
