[visionlist] Call for Papers: Invariant Recognition/Constancy

Submissions are invited for a special Research Topic issue with the felicitous title "Invariant Recognition II", hosted jointly by multiple Frontiers journals.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, perceptual invariance/constancy in any of the sensory faculties:
* Identity or category of any sensory 'object', broadly defined, such as a visual or somatosensory object, sound, odor, etc.
* Sensory context or 'scene', including the properties of the various 'objects' or of the background.
* Sensing parameters (such as viewing angle or listening distance).
* Behavioral context (such as those related to task, reward, etc) .

Contributors are encouraged to submit articles describing novel results, models, viewpoints, perspectives and/or methodological innovations relevant to this topic.  Pre-submission inquiries are welcome.

Abstract submission deadline: 31 March 2022. Advance submission of an abstract is encouraged, but not required.

Manuscript submission deadline: 30 June 2022.
