Research Assistant position - Human Visual Neuroscience

We are (also) looking for a research assistant with a genuine interest in human vision to join the Human Vision Lab<https://sites.uclouvain.be/goffauxlab/index.html> with Dr. Valerie Goffaux (Belgium). Our lab investigates how the human visual system processes natural visual categories such as faces, objects, and scenes. It involves carrying out psychophysics, neuroimaging and electroencephalography with healthy human adults samples.
The research assistant will be involved in all aspects of the research, including participant recruitment, task development, data collection and analysis. They will also be involved in the maintenance of the laboratory website, data storage, software and equipment, and attend scientific meetings. The ideal candidate is able to work in an organized and independent manner on multiple tasks. In addition to providing support to our research, the research assistant will be encouraged to pursue their own research projects. This position is an excellent starting point for a recent Master student who wishes to prepare for a PhD in our laboratory or elsewhere.
The position is available for 1 year, on a full-time basis. Desired start date is as soon as possible.
Requirements: Applicants must have or be about to obtain a Master's degree [120 ECTS] in psychology, biology, (bio)medical sciences, neurosciences or a related field. Good written and oral communication skills in English are required. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate creativity, excellent problem-solving skills and a collegial attitude. Experience in vision research and programming (R, Matlab, Python) are assets.
