The Neuroimaging of Perception & Attention Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Michigan State University invites application for a full-time research assistant position. We are seeking highly qualified individuals to work on projects investigating the neural mechanisms of attentional control, working memory, and decision making. The main experimental approach includes visual psychophysics, fMRI, TMS, and computational modeling.
The candidate should have a recent bachelor’s and master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in relevant courses. Previous experience with human subject research is useful but not required. Familiarity with computer programming is highly desired (e.g., Matlab, Python, C/C++). The research assistant is expected to be engaged in all aspects of on-going research projects. The primary duties of the research assistant include recruiting and scheduling participants, developing and implementing experiments, acquiring and
analyzing neural and behavioral data, and preparing results for presentation and reports.
