Applications are requested for a postdoc position supporting a join research project between the labs of Dr. Brian Anderson and Dr. Changbum Ryan Ahn. The research involves measuring attention to workplace hazards in a virtual reality (VR) environment and assessing the impact of a simulated virtual accident on attention and EEG measures of auditory signal processing. A recent paper published in iScience provides a good example of the project to which the postdoc would contribute: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589004222021009. The postdoc will be based at Texas A&M University, and there will be opportunity to launch new research projects of mutual interest in addition to supporting ongoing research. Experience using virtual reality or augmented reality techniques is preferred. Funding for the position is anticipated through August 2024, and continuation beyond August 2024 would depend on the successful procurement of additional funding.
