Dear colleagues,

The deadline of the special issue/collection in Visual Neuroscience (VNS) on the electrophysiology of vision, is extended until 30 Aprill 2024.

This special collection is devoted to the electrophysiology of vision, with emphasis on the use of Visual Evoked Potentials (VEPs) and electroretinograms (ERGs) in contemporary visual neuroscience. We invite original papers that report new research and/or propose methodological innovations, and the collection will include invited reviews from current experts in ERG and/or EEG/MEG literature in this field. Contributions reporting neural population or single-cell recordings of relevance to these topics are also welcome.

For details, please visit https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/visual-neuroscience/announcements/call-for-papers/visual-neuroscience-special-collection-electrophysiology-of-vision-systems-and-signals<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/JNnrCQnMBZfXQAjgBix6p1d?domain=cambridge.org>

The aim of the issue is to provide a broad context in which parallels can be drawn and gaps bridged between foundational and normative VEP and EEG/MEG studies, and new computation-based approaches to acquiring and analyzing VEP and ERG signals.

The collection is edited by Prof Jan Kremers (Section for Retinal Physiology, University Hospital Erlangen) and Dr Jasna Martinovic (Psychology, University of Edinburgh).

Papers may be submitted at: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/vns

Please indicate in your cover letter that your submission is in response to the special issue call for papers and select "Electrophysiology of Vision" from the special issue dropdown menu at submission.

VNS is a fully Gold Open Access journal published by Cambridge University Press. Information on the Journal's Open Access policies, including the current Article Processing Charge (APC), Open Access Wavers/Discounts and Transformative Agreements, can be found on the journal website.
