Please post to visionlist if possible. Thank you!
Hi all-
The International Society for Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR) 2024 is issuing two different calls for papers. We welcome contributions from vision scientists doing work related to AR, MR and VR. ISMAR 2024 will cover the full range of technologies, from interfaces in the real world to fully immersive experiences. This range goes far beyond the traditional published work in AR, such as precise 3D tracking, visual display, and real-time performance. We specifically invite contributions that advance all aspects of AR / MR / VR technology and user experiences.
Journal Papers
Accepted papers within the journal track will be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG).
Please note, this year, the conference track will run partly in parallel with the journal track. Rejected journal submissions may be forwarded to the conference track with reviewer continuity if they are of sufficient quality.
Important Deadlines
* Abstract deadline: March 7th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Thursday)
* Paper submission deadline: March 14th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Thursday)
* Reviews Released: May 1st, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Wednesday)
* Rebuttal to the Reviews Deadline: May 8th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Wednesday)
* Notification: May 27th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Monday)
* Final decision: July 1st, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Monday)
* Camera-ready version: July 31st, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Wednesday)
Submission Details for Journal Papers
Submissions may be up to 9 pages with an additional 2 pages of references. Accepted journal papers will be directly published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG) and archived in the IEEE Xplore digital library. Note that a paper abstract must be uploaded prior to the actual paper submission deadline (see submission deadlines). All paper submissions must be in English and left blind for review.
* All accepted papers will feature an oral presentation during the conference.
* All accepted papers will have the opportunity to be presented as a demo
* All accepted papers will be archived in the IEEE Xplore digital library
* All accepted papers will be subject to the registration and publication processing policy of ISMAR 2024
Conference Papers
Accepted papers within the conference track will be published in the conference proceedings of ISMAR 2024.
Important Deadlines
* Abstract Deadline: May 3rd, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Friday)
* Paper Submission Deadline: May 8th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Wednesday)
* Reviews Released: June 21st, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Friday)
* Rebuttal to the Reviews Deadline: June 28th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Friday)
* Notification: July 14th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Sunday)
* Final decision: July 29th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Monday)
* Camera-ready version: August 6th, 2024 (23:59 AoE, Tuesday)
Submission Details for Conference Papers
We welcome conference paper submissions from 4-8 pages, excluding references, with an additional 2 pages for the references. Paper quality versus length will be assessed according to a contribution-per-page judgment. Depending on the outcome, papers could be accepted or rejected as conference papers or could be recommended to be a poster.
* All accepted papers will feature an oral presentation during the conference.
* All accepted papers will have the opportunity to be presented as a demo.
* All accepted papers will be archived in the IEEE Xplore digital library.
* All accepted papers will be subject to the registration and publication processing policy of ISMAR 2024.
Detailed submission and review guidelines are available on the conference website. Note that a paper abstract must be uploaded prior to the actual paper submission deadline (see submission deadlines). All paper submissions must be in English and left blind for review.
