Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that the 2025 ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking
Research & Applications (ETRA) will be held from May 26 to May 29, 2025, in
Tokyo, Japan. We cordially invite you to participate in this prestigious
event, which gathers researchers, practitioners, and professionals from a
wide range of disciplines with a shared interest in advancing eye tracking
research and its applications.
ETRA 2025 will showcase cutting-edge research and innovations in various
areas, including but not limited to oculomotor research, gaze tracking
systems, eye tracking applications, gaze-based interaction, and eye
movement data analysis. We welcome submissions of high-quality papers in
all areas related to eye tracking research, with particular interest in
topics that span across multiple domains such as visuomotor neuroscience,
perception, and cognition.
Submission Guidelines:
Authors are encouraged to submit original work that has not been previously
published or is not currently under review elsewhere. At least one author
of each accepted paper is required to register for and present their work
at the symposium.
Important Dates:
Long Papers:
* Abstract submission (mandatory): October 26, 2024
* Paper submission: November 1, 2024
* First round reviews and notifications: January 7, 2025
* Revisions due: February 18, 2025
* Second round reviews and notifications: March 13, 2025
* Camera-ready deadline: March 31, 2025
Publication Opportunities:
We are excited to announce that accepted full papers will be published as
journal articles in special issues of either PACM CGIT or PACM HCI,
depending on the authors' choice. This offers an excellent opportunity for
your work to gain significant visibility and impact in the academic
community.
Topic Areas:
ETRA 2025 invites submissions on a diverse set of topics, including but not
limited to:
* Data Analysis: Novel methods such as deep learning, scanpath analysis,
clustering of gaze data, and large-scale data processing.
* Prediction Methods: Gaze prediction, action or intent prediction, and
attribute prediction.
* Visualization: Visual representation of gaze patterns, visual analytics,
and their integration with machine learning.
* Eye Tracking Devices: Advances in head-mounted and remote eye tracking,
novel sensors, and wearable devices.
* Perception and Cognition: Empirical studies on perception, attention,
visual search, eye-hand coordination, and eye tracking in naturalistic
tasks.
* Gaze-Based Interaction: Novel interaction methods, virtual and augmented
reality, multimodal interaction, and considerations of security and privacy.
* Applications: Eye tracking in education, driving, healthcare,
virtual/augmented reality, graphics, virtual avatars, and media
accessibility.
Please stay tuned for further details on the submission process, which will
be announced shortly on the ETRA 2025 website.
We eagerly anticipate your participation in ETRA 2025 in Tokyo and look
forward to the exciting discussions and collaborations that will continue
to push the boundaries of eye tracking research.
