[visionlist] 3-year Postdoc in Visual Cognitive Neuroscience in Giessen, Germany

Hi everyone,

There is a postdoc job opening in my lab, with a focus on cortical
processing dynamics during  naturalistic vision. The position can be filled
as soon as possible and is for 3 years. Our lab is based at the Justus
Liebig University in Giessen, Germany.

The project will employ behavioral studies, EEG, fMRI, and computational
models to study bottom-up and top-down processing during the perception of
dynamic and complex real-world images and videos. Within this topic, there
is some flexibility, depending on the strengths and research interests of
the successful candidate.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has prior experience with
using EEG and/or fMRI for addressing questions in (visual) cognitive
neuroscience, very good programming skills (matlab/python), and a strong
interest in the brain mechanisms of visual perception.

Beyond the lab, the project is situated within a big multi-site research
cluster ("Cardinal Mechanisms of Perception",

in Gießen, which offers ample opportunities for training, discussions, and
collaboration.

As a city, Giessen is a small but lively university town in the heart of
Europe, with a very high proportion of students.
