Dear Vision science community,

The Ultra-low Vision Lab in the Lions Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center

(the Low Vision Division of the Wilmer Eye Institute) is looking for a
postdoctoral fellow. Over the past decade, we developed measurement tools for
prosthetic and ultra-low vision: the ULV-VFQ questionnaire and performance
measures in both the real world and virtual reality. Under a new phase of the
same R01, we are now expanding the range of the questionnaire and VR
performance measures to cover a more moderate range of visual impairment,
roughly 20/50 - 20/800.
The ideal applicant will have a Ph D in vision science, computer science, or a
related field; experience in use of patient-reported outcomes, visual
performance testing, and/or VR test development in Unity would be highly
desirable, but not a condition.
The ULV lab is part of an enthusiastic group of clinicians and researchers from

diverse national and disciplinary backgrounds, within a highly collaborative,
world-class ophthalmology department. For further information please contact
Gislin Dagnelie <gislin at jhu.edu>
JHU stipend and other conditions of employment are on par with or exceed NIH
NRSA norms. The position is annually renewable for up to 4 years.
