Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the Call for Short Paper Submissions for the
2025 ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications (ETRA), which
will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from May 26-29, 2025. ETRA 2025 will
gather leading researchers, practitioners, and innovators to advance the
field of eye tracking research and applications.

**CALL FOR SHORT PAPERS**
https://etra.acm.org/2025/cfp.html
-----------------
We invite authors to submit original short papers that provide a concise
yet impactful contribution to eye-tracking research. Short papers should be
focused and clear, with significant findings presented succinctly,
contributing to the advancement of the field without extensive exploration
or discussion.

Short paper submissions will undergo a single-phase double-blind review
process, evaluated for originality, technical quality, and relevance to
eye-tracking research. Accepted papers will be archived as part of the ETRA
2025 conference proceedings and will be available in the ACM Digital
Library under "ETRA '25 Short Papers."

Important Dates (AoE/Anywhere on Earth):
- Abstract submission (mandatory): January 14, 2025
- Paper submission: January 21, 2025
- Review and notifications: March 8, 2025
- Camera-ready deadline: March 31, 2025

New Requirement:
Given the expanding applications of eye-tracking research, authors must
include a privacy and ethics statement (2-3 sentences) addressing potential
societal risks, privacy, fairness, safety, human rights, data sovereignty,
or misuse, as well as any relevant trade-offs. This requirement reflects
ETRA's commitment to ensuring research that responsibly considers societal
impacts.

Submission Guidelines:
Authors may include supplementary material, such as videos, code, or
datasets, which will be archived with the paper. Video submissions are not
required but are encouraged to demonstrate interactive systems effectively.
Supplementary materials, including videos, must be anonymized for the
review.

Topic Areas:
ETRA 2025 invites contributions on various topics, including but not
limited to:
- Data Analysis: Novel methods, machine learning, large-scale processing
- Prediction Methods: Gaze prediction, action/intent prediction
- Visualization: Representation and analytics of gaze data
- Eye Tracking Devices: Innovations in head-mounted and remote tracking
- Perception & Cognition: Studies on attention, oculomotor control,
