The *University of Hyderabad*, a Central University established in 1974
under the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education,
Government of India, and recognized as an *Institution of Eminence*, is
currently inviting applications for *faculty positions at the level of
Professor* through *Direct Recruitment*. Applications are open to
eligible *Indian
Citizens* and *Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)*.

*Position: Professor*

*Eligibility Criteria:*
We welcome candidates from both academic and medical backgrounds who
fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

*Eligibility A (Academic Background):*

   1. *Educational Qualification:*
      - Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline.
   2. *Research Contributions:*
      - At least 10 high-quality research publications in UGC CARE-listed
      journals.
      - A total research score of *120*, as per the UGC Regulations 2018
      (Appendix II, Table 2).
   3. *Experience:*
      - A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience at the
      Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level or equivalent in
      universities, colleges, or national-level institutions.
      - Evidence of successful guidance of doctoral candidates.

*Eligibility C (Medical Background):*

   1. *Educational Qualification:*
      - MD/MS in the relevant subject, as per Medical Council of India
      (MCI) regulations.
   2. *Experience:*
      - At least *3 years as Associate Professor* in a recognized medical
      institution.
   3. *Research Contributions:*
      - A total of *4 research publications* in indexed journals, with at
      least 2 publications during the tenure as Associate Professor.
