We are pleased to invite applications for the 11th edition of the Doctoral Program in Optometry and Vision Sciences (PDOCV) at the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. This exciting program offers advanced training in scientific research on topics such as optometry clinical practice, myopia control, instrumentation in ophthalmic science, sports vision, and many others.

This program provides an excellent opportunity to engage in innovative research guided by internationally recognized experts in the field of Optometry and Vision Sciences.

Program Highlights:
Structure: 3-year duration, with the first year dedicated to coursework and the remaining two to research.
Key areas of research: Optometry clinical practice, visual and cognitive performance, myopia progression, and more.
Supervision: The program is directed by Prof. Jorge Jorge, (contact: jorge at fisica.uminho.pt<mailto:jorge at fisica.uminho.pt>).
Who should apply?
We are seeking motivated candidates with a background in Optometry, Vision Sciences, or related fields.
Applicants must hold:
A Master’s degree in a relevant area, OR
A Bachelor's degree with an exceptional academic or scientific curriculum recognized by the scientific council.
