Postdoc Position Available in Anderson Lab

Applications are invited for a postdoc position in the lab of Brian Anderson at Texas A&M University. The position will be supported by institutional funds held by the PI, which are currently in place for at least three consecutive years of full support, offering significant financial stability. The new hire will hold the postdoctoral position previously occupied by Brad T. Stilwell, who will be transitioning to the faculty of Wake Forest University.

Competitive applicants will have an established publication record and a strong history of leadership in moving projects forward from conception to dissemination of findings. Given that the position is supported through institutional funds, the research to be conducted in association with this position is open and constrained only by mutual interest.

My lab houses significant resources for conducting experiments. We have 8 individual testing rooms and four EyeLink 1000 Plus eye trackers, an EEG system, and a variety of devices for recording behavioral responses (including hand dynamometers for measuring physical effort exertion). We conduct neuroimaging experiments at the Texas A&M Human Imaging Facility, which houses a new Siemens Prisma 3T magnet, and my lab is part of a vibrant brain imaging community that utilizes this resource. Given the size of Texas A&M University and corresponding access to prospective participants (e.g., over 60,000 undergraduate students), the candidate will have unique opportunities to be highly productive and fully leverage the significant resources that members of my lab have access to. Candidates with experience utilizing one or more of these resources in their prior research and who are interested in further developing proficiency with these resources are especially encouraged to apply.
