Description:

The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Science at
Vanderbilt University invites applications for a non-tenure-track
instructional faculty position at the Senior Lecturer rank, to start August
16, 2026. The initial appointment will be for three years with the
possibility of renewal conditional on performance and curricular needs.

The successful candidate will teach a combination of introductory courses
(e.g., general psychology, quantitative methods, and/or experimental
design), distribution course(s) in an area of expertise (e.g., cognitive,
social, abnormal, perception), and/or elective courses of broad interest to
undergraduates. We note that ability and interest in teaching General
Psychology is a particular need for the department. The successful

The Department of Psychology, housed within the College of Arts and
Science, is a community of tenure track and lecture track (continuing
track) faculty with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and
research in psychology and neuroscience. Our 27 full-time faculty are
organized into three overlapping areas representing clinical science,
cognition and cognitive neuroscience, and neuroscience. We have strong
relations with the Department of Psychology and Human Development

Qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related discipline
(awarded no later than August 1, 2026) and a strong commitment to
undergraduate education.

highlighting examples of syllabi, assessments, or assignments, and (e)
